CHAMPIONS LEAGUE | BARÇA - BAYERN
Lewandowski to wear mask and "is ready for the next challenge"
The Polish striker published a picture on his Twitter account with the protective mask he will wear on Wednesday during the game against Barça.
Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski, wants to play in Wednesday’s Champions League semi final at the Camp Nou at all costs.
Despite a fracturing his jaw and damaging his nose along with concussion suffered in a clash with Dortmund goalkeeper, Langerak during last week’s DFB Pokal semi final at the Allianz Arena, the player is set to play on Wednesday. The player took to social media earlier today posting a photo on his Twitter account with the protective mask he intends to use during the game.
Since the moment he picked up the injury, the Polish international never gave up hope and never ruled himself out of the semi-final. “Just a few days until the game at Camp Nou. I hope to play!” Bayern coach, Pep Guardiola, when asked about Lewandowski’s situation, focused on the verdict of his medical staff. ''The team doctor will have the last word, if he tells me he can’t play, then he won’t”, he added.
