BARCELONA | CLAUDIO BRAVO
Spot-kick save puts Claudio Bravo into double figures
The Chilean smothered Dani Parejo’s ninth-minute penalty in this afternoon’s league clash with Valencia.
Claudio Bravo made the tenth penalty save of his professional career and his first for FC Barcelona in this afternoon’s league meeting with Valencia at Camp Nou.
Valencia were awarded a penalty on nine minutes after Gerard Piqué brought down Rodrigo. Dani Parejo stepped up to take the kick but under-hit his effort but Bravo had guessed correctly and stopped the shot diving to his right.
Bravo stopped five penalties during his time with Colo Colo, two with Real Sociedad and two for the Chile national team.
Before today, his last spot-kick save was back on 30th October 2013 when he detained Patrick Ebert’s last-minute penalty in Real Sociedad’s meeting with Valladolid.
