Motta returns to PSG training as he sets sights on Barça
The French club’s coaching staff will monitor the midfielder on Tuesday to see if he is fit to face his old club.
Thiago Motta, Paris Saint-Germain’s Brazil-born Italy international midfielder, returned to training today (Monday) just two days before the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie against his old club Barcelona.
During the day tomorrow (Tuesday), PSG’s coaching staff will weigh up whether or not Motta is fit to take to the field at the Parc des Princes against the Catalan side.
Having picked up an injury in his left leg in the recent match against Marseille, the anchorman had not been able to train since April 5.
At first, PSG’s medical staff had ruled Motta out of the match. The French champions will be without the services of Sweden forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Italian midfielder Marco Verratti, who are both suspended, and the Brazilian centre-back David Luiz, who is injured.
