CHAMPIONS LEAGUE | ATLETI - LEVERKUSEN
Operation comeback: Atleti have already sold 3,000 tickets
The Madrid club need to overturn a 1-0 deficit in the second leg against Bayer Leverkusen and the fans are showing they believe.
The Atleti fans demand for tickets for the Champions League second leg against Bayer Leverkusen shows no sign of letting up. After snapping up 2,000 seats yesterday, the club shifted another 1,000 today. Everything points to a sell-out in the Calderón.
There are still 5,000 tickets left (Champions League entitled season ticket holders having the remaining seats), at all prices, but the red and white fans have been coming from all over to make sure they are in the stadium to see what they are sure will be a heroic night from Cholo’s side.
Leverkusen will have 1,500 seats in the ground, and given their 1-0 advantage from the first leg there’s no doubt all those tickets will be sold too. With three weeks still to go to the tie, it’s already certain it’s going to be a raucous night in south Madrid.
