Angolan side Kabuscorp want to sign Ronaldinho
Their president, Benedicto Kangamba, told the news agency Lusa of his desire to sign the former Barcelona man: “We negotiate with his agent in order to bring him here for one season”.
Ronaldinho could leave the Mexican outfit Querétaro to play in the Angolan league, according to Kabuscorp president Benedicto Kangamba. He told the news agency Lusa: “We are striving in negotiations with Ronaldinho’s agent to bring him here for one year.”
Kabuscorp’s aim is to provide themselves with a boost in quality ahead of the CAF Champions League, as explained by Kangamba himself. He said: “With this type of players we can win the CAF Champions League and then we can play in the Club World Cup, and thus face European teams. That is the dream of any president of a club.”
Ronaldinho, whose current side have not been involved in the battle for the league title in Mexico, would not be the first high-profile Brazilian to play for Kabuscorp. In 2012, the African side signed Rivaldo. At the age of 39, the former Barcelona forward appeared 21 times and scored 11 goals to help the team to finish fourth in their league.
Meanwhile, there has been interest in Ronaldinho from the USA. There has even been speculation that LA Galaxy were interested in signing him. In any case, Ronaldinho has a two-season deal with his current team, for whom he has scored three goals in nine appearances.
