Messi will travel to Helsinki with the rest of the Barça squad
The Argentinian star will be available to face the Finnish side HJK Helsinki. Neymar, however, will remain in Barcelona as he continues to work on recovering from injury.
Luis Enrique will have Leo Messi available for Saturday’s friendly in Helsinki against Finnish side HJK Helsinki. After three days of training, the Argentina international will look to get up to speed with the rest of the squad, as will Javier Mascherano and Dani Alves – all three joined the other players on Tuesday. Neymar, despite hoping to be on the plane, will remain in Barcelona to work on recovering from the injury he picked up in the World Cup.
The game is an important one for Luis Enrique, above all as he will be keen for the players to settle. After playing three games, Los Culés have won one (0-1 against Recreativo), drawn one (against Nice) and lost one (against Napoli in Geneva), and, without a recognised striker available, he will want players to gain confidence in this area of the pitch.
