Neymar shines as Brazil rout Panama
Barcelona forward has a hand in three of Canarinho's four goals in warm-up game
Brazil displayed their readiness for the World Cup in a 4-0 demolition of Panama at the Estadio Serra Dourada in Goiânia on Tuesday in a match that crowned Barcelona forward Neymar as the Canarinho’s leading light.
Neymar scored Brazil’s first from a free-kick, laid on the third for Hulk with an impetuous back-heel and played a part in the fourth, laying off for Maxwell to play in Chelsea’s Willian. Dani Alves bagged the second for Luiz Felipe Scolari’s side.
Scolari sent out a team that will be little changed when Brazil open the World Cup against Croatia in São Paulo on June 12.
Brazil team against Panama: Julio César; Dani Alves, David Luiz, Dante, Marcelo; Ramires, Luiz Gustavo, Oscar; Hulk, Fred and Neymar.
