Cristiano, first to score 25 goals in five consecutive seasons

With his goal against Málaga the Portuguese star reached a quarter-century for the fifth League in a row. Messi needs another 10 goals this season to reach the same record.

Cristiano Ronaldo keeps collecting records. The Real Madrid striker got the only goal of the game last night against Málaga, which took him to 25 goals for the season in the League, a total he has now reached for five seasons in a row and something nobody has ever done before.

Since he arrived in Spain in 09/10 Ronaldo has registered the following league goal tallies: 26, 40, 46, 34 and 25 (so far in this league). There are another 10 games to play to the end of this season. In total he’s notched 171 goals in the domestic league tournament.

Ronaldo may soon have to share the record however, as Messi has scored more than 25 goals in the best four seasons, and is on 15 goals so far in the current one. Another 10 goals will see him level with Cristiano.
