Microsoft declares it does not want to sponsor the Bernabéu
The president of the Spanish branch of the software giant insisted its relationship with Real Madrid was "fundamentally based on technology and innovation".
María Garaña, the president of Microsoft in Spain, has called relations between the software giant and Real Madrid "excellent" but denies the corporation is interested in sponsoring the club's Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
According to Garaña, Madrid are not considering changing the name of its ground, and Microsoft are not interested in such an arrangement either.
In an interview ahead of the launch of the Xbox One games console on 22 November, Garaña indicated that the relationship between the club and company was "fundamentally based on technology and innovation", while adding that Madrid, along with other football clubs, will participate in the launch of the console.
