Cristiano pondering boycotting all FIFA ceremonies
The Real Madrid player is still raging at Blatter, while Real Madrid have said they will support his decision.
Cristiano Ronaldo is still raging at Joseph Blatter, FIFA President, for mocking him during a speech at Oxford University and saying he would prefer Messi to win the Ballon d’Or. The Swiss administrator’s comments have also led to speculation that the competition may not be entirely fair. And so the Portuguese striker is now seriously considering not attending any FIFA ceremony – meaning the player may very well be absent from the presentation of the Ballon d’Or on 13 January next year.
Real Madrid would rather Ronaldo didn’t take such drastic action, but will support the player no matter what he finally decides.
If Ronaldo doesn’t go this wouldn’t be the first time a nominated Madridista didn’t go. Last year Mourinho, who was a candidate for Coach of the Year, opted not to attend.
