Jordi Alba out for three weeks with hamstring tear
The full-back suffered the injury during the opening minutes of Saturday’s meeting with Sevilla.
Barcelona’s injury concerns continue with the news that Jordi Alba faces the next few weeks on the sidelines as he recovers from a muscle tear. The left-back was forced to quit Saturday’s meeting with Sevilla on 14 minutes, after being on the receiving end of a challenge from Vitolo.
The Catalan club confirmed this morning that the defender has a micro tear to his right hamstring and is expected to be out of action for three weeks. He will miss the league meetings with Rayo Vallecano, Real Sociedad and Almería as well as the Champions League group stage clashes with Ajax and Celtic.
