Messi says he had nothing to do with Tata Martino
The Argentinean striker argues that the decision was taken by “the club and the president”
Leo Messi spoke to the press in the Allianz Arena after Barcelona’s friendly against Bayern Munich and said he had had nothing to do with the arrival of Tata Martino, the new Barça coach. “I had nothing to do with Martino’s signing. It was down to President Rosell and the club. I said before that I thought he was a good coach, but I don’t have anything to do with this”, said the striker.
“I don’t know him personally, I’ve never met him. Not him nor Luis Enrique, the other one they’ve been talking about. I think he’s a good signing, he showed at Newell’s and with Paraguay what he’s capable of. Hopefully he’ll be good for us”, said Messi. The Argentinean also said he hadn’t seen Pep while he was in Munich.
