Neymar: "I may be pretentious, but I'm not metrosexual"
The Barcelona and Brazil forward is the cover star of the latest issue of French magazine 'Surface'.
Neymar admits he likes to dress well, style his hair and wax his legs. However, be careful about calling him a pretty boy.
The Brazil and Barcelona forward is the cover star of the latest edition of French magazine Surface, and although he admits to being “pretentious” he denies being “metrosexual”.
He says: “Yes, it is true that I like to go out and buy new clothes, nice fragrances and hair products. I also shave my legs for example. But I am not metrosexual."
“Metrosexual is what David Beckham is, he is more stylish.
The 21-year-old joined Barcelona for an estimated 57 million euros earlier in the summer and was named the best player at the recent Confederations Cup, but insists he is not daunted by the heavy weight placed on his shoulders for club and country.
“Pressure does not affect me," he says.
"Since I was a kid, I dreamt of playing for Brazil and being an idol for lots of people. I am always ready for any challenge.”
And he has no shame in hiding the high opinion he has of himself:
"I might be a bit pretentious, but it has never caused me any problems."
