Real Madrid defender Pepe spoke to the cameras after his team beat Valladolid 4-3 this evening and had words for his coach, saying he should have had more respect for Casillas. "The gaffer's statements weren't appropriate. Iker is a legend, both at this club and in Spain. He needs to know that the fans and us are on his side."
Pepe's comments were in response to Mourinho's statements about the goalkeeper ("if I could I would have signed Diego López in my first year"). The defender then went on to talk about Mourinho's future: "We're relaxed. The coach needs to sort it out with the club. We are playing for the shirt".
