Real Madrid go into Sunday's meeting with Real Sociedad with numerous absentees in defence. Pepe joined Fabio Coentrao and Marcelo in the sick bay last week and while Raúl Albiol has returned to training, he is not match fit and just to make matters worse, Sergio Ramos is serving a suspension after reaching the five-booking limit.
It means a golden opportunity awaits Real Madrid C central defender, Diego Javier Llorente who was named in Mourinho's squad list on Saturday afternoon. In the club's official web page there is a complete profile on the player who was born in Madrid on August 16th 1993 and can play at either centre-back or right-back. In the player's own words, he is "Versatile, strong in the air and quick at reading rival forwards".
Llorente entered Real Madrid's youth academy in 2002 and has made his way up through the ranks, graduating to the C team last year. According to his official profile, the teenager is a big fan of Sergio Ramos and when he is not playing football, he enjoys basketball and tennis. Llorente says he will never forget the night Madrid eliminated Barça from the Champions League at the Bernabéu then went on to win their ninth European crown.
