Sergio Ramos took a verbal swipe at Levante centre-half Sergio Ballesteros after Real Madrid's tense 2-1 win in Valencia on Sunday night.
Ballesteros was reported to have had an altercation with Madrid defender Pepe following the game, and Ramos used a post-match interview to have a go at the Levante defender.
He said: "He's always trying to attract attention. If he likes fighting so much he should give up football and become a professional boxer.
"There were no fireworks in the dressing room, but some people do not know how to accept defeat. There's always someone who loses it. We have tried to stay out of it and tried to stay calm, but we are tired of unsportsmanlike behaviour. It's not the first time this has happened with Juanlu and Ballesteros. They always make a fuss."
However, Ballesteros denied that he had gone into the opposition dressing room at the end of the game to provoke Madrid's players, insisting: "I only went to ask how Cristiano was after his injury, nothing else."
