BARCELONA | PEDRO
Pedro: "Guardiola said what he feels, you have to respect it"
The Barcelona and Spain player also praised Cristiano Ronaldo to the high heavens: "He's one of the best in the world".
Barcelona and Spain player Pedro Rodríguez talked about the stories in the football news before the game against Getafe, including Guardiola's statements on Catalan independence, Cristiano's emotional state, and the forthcoming clásico.
Guardiola: "Guardiola has said what he feels, they are personal statements and should be respected".
Getafe: "We have to get our recuperation right and prepare well for the game, because it will be tough and we want to leave Getafe with a win. I don't know if it's the size of the pitch, but they are a side who keep it very tight and put pressure on. It's like Osasuna or Athletic; they are difficult grounds to visit. We know we'll have to play hard there".
His form: "I feel great in training and I'm working hard. Maybe it's because I've been lucky in front of goal. I've been confident and had some breaks in my first few games. I'm feeling good and I hope to continue like this".
Iniesta: "The injury to Andrés is a blow. He's so important to the team. The truth is that it's always hard after playing the international matches, because you are travelling, playing and the time and conditions to rest aren't ideal. However we are doing everything possible to be in the best condition for our next game".
Having a five point cushion at the clásico: "Man, it would be good. We'd love to have that sort of advantage for that game, but we've got a lot of games before then, starting with this one against Getafe. It's a tough game we need to get through. We're playing Granada, Sevilla... I'd don't know how important those five points will be, time will tell".
Cristiano: "He's one of the best players in the world and no-one should be saying anything to him".
