Unless current postures undergo a considerable change at Balaidos, as matters stand Nolito will not be moving to the Catalan capital in the current transfer window. Celta club officials have maintained their position and have been unmoved by the various proposals which Barcelona have put forward in an attempt to secure the Andalusian strikers signature. The latest proposal which included paying out the 18 million euro buy-out clause next summer and taking the player on a current loan deal to Camp Nou has been dismissed by the Galician club. With a question mark hanging over the payment guarantee the Vigo based side appear to have lost interest in any further discussions and as things stand Nolito will play for the remainder of the 2015-16 season at Balaidos.
The 29 old player has been injured since December 12 and spent three seasons at Barcelona before moving to Benfica is still not fully match fit and misses tomorrow’s key game for Celta as they face Atletico Madrid in the last 16 of the Copa del Rey.
