'Florentino, resignation!’ rings out around the Bernabéu

Sections of the Santiago Bernabéu faithful directed their anger at the President’s Box as their side were thrashed by Barcelona 0-4.

A fair share of the Bernabéu crowd reacted badly to their side’s poor performance in this evening’s Clásico against Barcelona.

The disaffection with the team's performance began in the first half, and with the score at 0-2 as the players headed down the tunnel, whistles sounded out around the ground, with some even directing their anger at President Florentino Perez in the Director’s Box. Shouts of ‘Florentino Resignation’ accompanied the ‘white hankie’ treatment, a gesture used to express discontent and anger.

The protests grew even stronger in the second half as the Madrid fans watched as Luis Enrique's side dominated the match, running out 0-4 winners.
