Real Madrid fans are divided as to whether or not the club should accept a bid exceeding 150 million euro for Gareth Bale. This is the finding from the on-line poll carried out this morning via AS.com in which more than 30.000 readers participated.
Gareth Bale, arrived in the summer of 2013 and has played a total of 66 games for Madrid, scoring 33 goals (one for every second game played) and providing 24 assists during his 5,196 minutes of playing time.
Bale has won four trophies at the club: The 2013/14 Champions League, Spanish Cup, Euro Super-cup and the Club World Cup. The Madrid player has scored in all finals with the exception of the Super-cup which was played in his native Wales. It has been perceived that the player has struggled to adapt to playing on the right wing as Cristiano Ronaldo plays in what would be Bales’ natural position. The potential signing of German, Reus, a player who could take over from Bale is another motive in hinting at a possible exodus.
The Welshman’s buy-out clause is 1.000 million euro and it’s felt that the player would resist a possible move to Manchester despite the news that the Red Devils are prepared to pay a fee of 153 million euro for his services.
