Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro will go on loan to Porto for the coming season. The negotiations for the deal are very advanced and the move could be completed in the next few hours. Madrid’s desire is for the 22 year old, who arrived at the club in January 2013, gets a lot of playing time and new Porto coach Julen Lopetegui seems willing to give him just that.
In principle the loan would include a purchase option in favour of Porto, and a subsequent re-purchase option for Real Madrid. The plan is for the player to move before Ancelotti’s side go on tour to the US.
Madrid took the player on loan from Sao Paulo in January 2013 and then exercised their purchase option of six million euros the following summer, signing a four year deal with the player. Last season under Ancelotti he player 12 league matches, six Copa del Rey matches and six in the Champions League.
