On Friday Florentino Pérez met with the French club’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi in the Spanish capital to leave a deal for ‘el Fideo’ all but closed. The Argentine’s days as a Madrid player are numbered, with Los Blancos likely to receive somewhere in the region of 60 million euros for the player.
Manchester United were also interested in hiring the services of the Madrid star, but Di María expressed his desire to play for PSG and it looks like his wish will be granted. As a result, the Premier League club has turned its attentions to signing Chile international Arturo Vidal, and, in fact, United’s medical staff have already contacted the Chilean Football Federation to enquire about the state of the midfielder’s right knee after he underwent knee surgery last May in Barcelona.
