Bein Sports tonight announced that Radamel Falcao has agreed a deal with Real Madrid and that it will be announced once the World Cup finishes. They said that the agreement was reached in the last few days, and that Falcao will realise his own personal dream of playing for Real Madrid, as this newspaper reported last Saturday. Bein is the sports channel of Al Jazeera, and is owned by the PSG owners.
As we explained on Saturday, Falcao is on holiday in Miami, and he has told his agent Jorge Mende that his dream was to play for Real Madrid, and that he was not willing to listen to offers from any club, apart from The Whites (he still owns a house in the La Finca neighbourhood in Madrid). It is rumoured that the Colombia striker had at least four offers from the Premiership (Chelsea, Manchester City, Spurs and Liverpool), but has rejected them all.
Now over his injury, the 28 year old is contracted with Monaco until 2018, and was in contention for a place at the World Cup, however he took the decision to withdraw himself from contention as to be fair to his teammates.
