Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos reported for training on Sunday, despite the squad being given a day off by coach Carlo Ancelotti. Marcelo and Casemiro were also involved in the session on the pitches at Valdebebas, Real Madrid’s training complex.
The Portugal international went through a high-intensity individual training session, doing physical exercises and ball work. Meanwhile, Ramos and Casemiro worked on their physical fitness, the defender also training with ball at feet. Marcelo went through his paces separately, while Pepe and Álvaro Arbeloa trained indoors.
All the indications are that Cristiano is racing against the clock to make Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final first leg against Bayern Munich, although he was unsure over his chances when speaking in Valencia in midweek. Whether or not the player himself feels fit will be the decisive factor; however, there are still three days remaining.
