Real Madrid have begun preparations for Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Juventus at the Santiago Bernabéu (20:45 CET).
Following Saturday’s 2-0 La Liga win over Málaga on Saturday, Carlo Ancelotti’s squad were put through their paces at an 11:00 training session at Valdebebas, the club’s training complex. The starters against Málaga trained at a lower intensity than their colleagues.
Raphael Varane, now over his injury issues, trained with the rest of the group and looks set to be available to face the Italian champions. Meanwhile, Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema and Diego López remained in the gym.
Xabi Alonso underwent a session on a separate pitch as he continues his recovery from a metatarsal injury in his right foot.
