Valencia’s Adil Rami has responded to the La Liga outfit’s decision to suspend him without pay following his public criticism of coach Miroslav Djukic. Speaking to Radio Montecarlo, the defender has branded the punishment “unfounded”.
Rami said: “I want to respond to the sanction imposed on me by my club, Valencia. It’s an unfounded sanction that I disagree with.”
He continued: "I regret this situation that tarnishes my relationship with my club and its supporters, for whom I always work with the utmost respect and complete loyalty. This dispute will be settled in a sporting spirit and in dialogue with the club as I always hoped, and with the frankness which I’m characterised by."
