Valencia have announced the transfer of Roberto Soldado to Tottenham Hotspur, subject to the striker passing a medical with the Premier League club.
‘Los Che’ have also confirmed that Soldado moves to White Hart Lane in a deal worth “the equivalent to his release clause” (30 million euros). In a statement posted on their official website, the La Liga side commented: “The club wishes Roberto the very best of luck in this new stage of his professional career, and would like to express its recognition of the player’s great professionalism and excellent performances in the Valencia shirt.”
Tottenham have also confirmed the deal for Soldado, who will travel to London on Thursday to sign a four-year contract at the North London club.
The 28-year-old, who joined Valencia in 2010 from Getafe, leaves the Mestalla after scoring 83 goals in 135 appearances.
