Manchester United have launched a final offensive to try and convince Thiago Alcántara to leave Barcelona this summer and move to Old Trafford.
The Premier League champions have made no secret of their desire to lure the midfielder and they are so keen on signing him that they are ready to offer him an elevated wage that would make him among the best paid players in the squad, according to 'Metro'.
Thiago would earn over 7 million euros if he upped sticks to Manchester and the player must now decide whether he stays in Barcelona or heads to the Premier League.
Barcelona are intent on holding onto one of their most prized assets, who could leave for just 18 million euros.
The La Liga champions want the midfielder to make his decision as soon as possible, but another threat could emerge from Germany, with former coach Pep Guardiola, who gave Thiago his debut with Barça, rumoured to be keen on a reunion.
