Real Madrid's medical team are optimistic after the initial tests on Mesut Özil's twisted ankle and believe he will be fit for the Final of the Copa del Rey on the 17th against Atlético. Further tests will be done to definitely rule out a serious injury.
The German midfielder suffered the injury on his right ankle after a legal challenge from Camacho. Özil had to be taken from the field of play on a stretcher and appeared to be in agony. Madrid had already made three substitutions (Di María, Higuaín and Fabinho) and had to finish the match with 10 players.
José Mourinho, who hadn't left the dugout for the whole game, ran onto the pitch to check on the player after the injury.
