The Spanish Football Federation and Spain's principal public television channel Television Española are in discussions over which date the Copa del Rey final should be held on.
The game has been scheduled for Saturday 18 May, but it clashes with the Eurovision Song Contest. Television Española owns the broadcasting rights for both events and has requested for the game to be moved.
The idea to move the game to Friday 17 May was floated by the television company, but the Federation would prefer for the game to be held on the Sunday 19 May.
If the Federation gets its way, adjustments will need to be made to the Primera División fixture list for that weekend, with all games being played on either the Friday or the Saturday.
The two finalists' respective league matches for that weekend, Madrid's tie with Málaga and Atlético's visit to Celta Vigo, will be played on Wednesday 8 May.
