"I'm not the kind of person who gives up easily. I go out to Valdebebas every day with the intention of giving my best and winning the coach's confidence. I have an excellent relationship with Mourinho," Antonio Adán declared in an interview with Real Madrid's official web page this week.
That was the goalkeeper's reply to remarks made by his uncle to Catalunya Radio in which he claimed his nephew was feeling depressed after being dropped by the coach.
"I feel privileged to be a professional footballer and especially as a member of Real Madrid's first team squad. That's two good reasons to feel happy. I want to make clear that the impressions some people around me may have about me don't match up with my impressions in this case. I'm only thinking about working and helping my team", he said.
