Mourinho's preparations for the Copa del Rey semi-final Clásico began with good news: Xabi Alonso and Benzema joined the rest of the squad. The session also saw Castilla players Quini and Ríos train, along with Marcos Legaz from the youth team.
The Madrid coach split the players into three groups. The first, lead by trainer Rui Faria, was a recovery session for the first-team players that featured in the 1-2 win over Deportivo La Coruña.
The second group, which trained with more intensity, included Xabi Alonso and Benzema as well as youth team players Quini, Ríos and Marcos Legaz.
Adán, Diego López and Jesús worked with goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro, while Iker Casillas continued to work on recovering from injury.
