Rumours abound about which team Victor Valdés will be keeping goal for when he leaves Barcelona
One of the most tempting destinations for the Spain international is the Premier League, where a number of teams are on the hunt for a reliable goalkeeper, and few stoppers on the market at the moment fit the bill like Valdés.
'The Sun' has reported that Arsenal have shown a lot of interest in the Catalan goalkeeper, so much that they would be willing to pay Barça's asking price in order to land him in the summer, a year before his contract expires in June 2014.
According to the newspaper, Barcelona will sell their goalkeeper for over 10 million euros in the summer if they receive an offer from Arsene Wenger's side, who know that the fact that Valdés made it public that he was not going to renew his contract with Barcelona means they will be forced to sell him at a lower price if they do not want to cash in on him before he leaves for free in 2014.
The Gunners have been unable to find a reliable goalkeeper to replace Jens Lehmann when he left the club in 2008.
