Adriano answered questions from the media after training on Thursday. One of the main topics of the press conference, was last night's meeting between Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Draw at the Bernabéu: "It was a great match - what everyone had hoped for. I think the tie is wide open, the return leg over in England is going to be interesting - and I am sure it will be just as entertaining as last night's was".
Lack of concentration during matches: "You have to be fully focused otherwise matches can become complicated. We are now concentrating solely on the Granada game because it's a very difficult ground for visiting teams. We need to take three points from it but I think it will be one of our toughest games of the season".
New keeper for Barça: "De Gea had a great match. He's a good keeper but perhaps the only one who can decide about him is Zubizarreta - he is the one who is in charge of finding a replacement for Víctor. Personally, I like De Gea a lot".
12-point lead: "Mentally, we are just focusing on continuing our run. We are aware that we have a decent cushion of points and that's good. There is a lot of competition for every place in the team, we want to win trophies and so, even though we have a big advantage, that doesn't mean we can afford to relax".
Crazy schedule: "It's always difficult. Real Madrid have two crucial games in a short period of time - we have been in a similar situation ourselves and it will happen to us at some point between now and the end of the season. The calendar is tough - and especially at the end of February and the beginning of March. And to tell the truth, we feel really grateful whenever we do get an extra day or two to rest in between games".
Contract talks: "I think both parties can reach an agreement. My idea is to stay here with Barcelona where I am very settled and happy. I have told Zubi and the directors that my wish is to remain here".
Competition at left-back: "Having competition for places is always good for the team and that is the situation we have right now. All of us need to be at 100 per cent. Alba and Abidal make it difficult for me to keep my place".
Alexis Sánchez: "He's gone a while without scoring but he doesn't seem too anxious about it. He is always larking about in the dressing room. All of us are delighted that he scored in our last game and we hope he continues scoring".
Position within the team: "I hardly remember the last time I played as an out and out winger. This season, I have played more in defence - at centre-back or as full-back. Wherever I am required to play, I am delighted to oblige".
