Real Madrid have made a request to the Spanish league, the LFP, asking them to move the kick-off time for the leagueClásico with Barcelona on Saturday 2 March to 16:00 CET.
The club want to give their players the maximum time to rest before the return leg of their Champions League tie with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Tuesday 5 March.
Several weeks ago Madrid requested that the game be moved forward one day to Friday 1 March but their suggestion was rejected.
The LFP turned down the original request because it meant that other matches would have to be moved as a result.
The request, if approved, could prove controversial because the Clásico traditionally has an evening kick off.
