Raúl González visited Spain's national team in Doha ahead of tomorrow's friendly meeting with Uruguay. The former Real Madrid captain was joined by his children, agent Ginés Carvajal and Fernando Hierro, who is also in Qatar although not as part of the Spanish expedition. Raúl spent over an hour with the players and national team coach Vicente Del Bosque.
The 35-year-old, who has been on the books at Qatar-based outfit, Al Sadd Sports Club since last summer, later spent time with fans in front of the hotel entrance, signing autographs and posing for photographs.
It is believed that Spain will also be visited by a member of Qatar's ruling family, the Al Thani, during their time at the Torch Doha Hotel.
Del Bosque's players are due to train later this afternoon at the same venue designated for Wednesday's match, the Khalifa International stadium.
