Real Madrid have left the Copa Clásico behind and are now focused on the Liga. Today, the squad started to prepare for the visit to Granada this weekend (Saturday, 22.00). José Mourinho led a session for which he had 20 first team players available. Cristiano Ronaldo, Özil and Khedira worked in the gym, while Pepe continued with his post-operation recovery.
Mourinho had designed a session that started with the players divided into three groups. Diego López, Essien, Varane, Carvalho, Arbeloa, Alonso, Callejón and Benzema worked under the orders of Rui Faria. Those eight, who were starters against Barcelona, did recovery exercises, stretching and running.
The rest of the outfield players trained more intensely, starting with a warm-up and muscular work, combined with speed exercises. The third group was made up of the goalkeepers Adán and Jesús, who did specific work with the goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro, both with and without the ball.
