Atlético Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has declared that he is sure Diego Simeone will be the club's coach come next season.
While attending a public relationship exercise in Madrid, Cerezo was asked if he would like the Argentine to continue at the club next season.
"Not only would I like him to stay, I know he will stay," was his response.
Cerezo also played down the club's 3-0 defeat to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
"We lost a game for once, it was nothing more than that," he said.
And he offered his expectations for the remainder of the campaign.
"Atleti will finish very well because we have a good team. We are very focused and I think that even though we lost yesterday we still played fantastically well and we are ready to do great things in the league, the Copa del Rey and the Europa League."
