Málaga have confirmed that they have agreed a new contract with midfielder Isco.
The Málaga-born player is still under contract with Manuel Pellegrini's side until 2016 but his buy-out clause has increased from 21 to 35 million euros. He will also receive a significant pay rise as a result of the new deal.
Shortly after confirming the new contract, Isco said: "It wasn't essential to increase my years at the club, I've got this year left and three more. There have been some offers, but the main thing for me was to continue here. The first step for me to grow is to be here at Málaga".
Isco has been one of the standout performers in the Spanish Primera División this season and several days ago Málaga Director of Sport Mario Husillos indicated that a new contract was imminent, saying: "In the next few days we will hold a meeting with the player. Shortly, we hope to make an announcement but the deal is practically done."
