Real Madrid keeper Adán believes he is "ready"

Iker Casillas' injury set to give his replacement a continuous spell in the first team.

Real Madrid's replacement goalkeeper, Adán, who has been José Mourinho's controversial first choice on occasion in recent weeks, is now set for a solid spell between the posts after Iker Casillas broke a bone in his hand during the Copa del Rey quarterfinal against Valencia.

Adán spoke after the game:

Injury to Casillas: "It happened to me [being replaced during a game, in Adán's case for a sending off] 15 days ago, now it's happened to my teammate. Football is like that. It's part of the game and you have to carry on".

Performance against Valencia: "It wasn't an easy game, against a tough rival. But the coach has confidence in me and I do too. I believe I'll do well. If I need to play I'm ready to make sure things go well".
