Málaga coach Manuel Pellegrini has revealed his squad list for the Copa del Rey quarter final second leg against Barcelona on Thursday, and the big news is that midfielder Isco has been left out due to injury.
Isco has injured his right ankle and has been unable to train with the first team.
His place in the starting line-up could be filled by Brazilian Lucas Piazon, who Málaga signed on loan from Chelsea last week and has been included in the 18-man squad.
French midfielder Jeremy Toulalan has also been left out of the squad, as has new signing Diego Lugano, who has joined on loan from Inter Milan. Nacho Monreal misses out due to suspension, as does Julio Baptista, who is still reintegrating himself with the first team after not playing any football for over a year due to injury.
Squad list to face Barcelona: Kameni, Jesús Gámez, Weligton, Demichelis, Camacho, Joaquín, Saviola, Seba, Lucas Piazon, Willy, Iturra, Duda, Eliseu, Portillo, Buonanotte, Sergio Sánchez, Onyewu, Santa Cruz.
