Juventus are due to make an announcement shortly, probably tomorrow, Tuesday, about the signing of the Athletic Bilbao player Fernando Llorente for next season. The club are trying to arrange things so that he joins the team this month, though.
As 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' explained today, Juventus have reached an agreement with the Athletic Bilbao forward for a four-year contract (until 2017) at 4.5 million euros plus bonuses per season.
However, as the paper adds, the club's director general Giuseppe Marotta is willing to offer three or four million to Athletic Bilbao to see the player join the squad in January. That's due to the problems that the current Serie A leaders are having.
Marotta yesterday stated to 'Sky Sports' that the talks for Fernando Llorente's transfer "could be finalized very soon." "I'm very optimistic about the deal. Whatever happens, Llorente will be a Juve player on the 1st July", he said.
