After reaching a verbal agreement with Barcelona a month ago, Carles Puyol will now sign his new contract with the club tomorrow, Tuesday. The act will take place at Barça offices around 17.00, according to the club's website.
Puyol, whose current deal expires on the 30th June, has agreed to renew for three more seasons until the summer of 2016. By then, the centre back will be 38 years old. He made his debut with Barcelona in the 99/00 season and since then has been a regular for all of the coaches he's worked under. This campaign, injuries have meant he's only played 14 matches in all competitions, though.
Puyol's extension, together with those of Messi and Xavi, was announced by Barcelona on the 18th December.
