Bayern MunicH winger Arjen Robben has spoken of his surprise at how quickly Pep Guardiola was named as the next coach of the German giants.
The Catalan was named as the successor to Jupp Heynckes on Wednesday and will take the reins at the Allianz Arena next summer.
"I was shocked, it all happened so fast," the former Real Madrid player told the Dutch press.
"I heard his name being talked about on Tuesday on the radio and then during our training sessions. But the players never know whether these things are true or not.
Robben believes the fact Bayern have secured Guardiola's services is "a coup" because he was the most wanted coach in Europe, and thinks he will "fit in very well" at his new club.
"He is a coach that always thinks about attacking football, and that fits in with Bayern, because this is a club with balls," added the Dutchman, borrowing the famous phrase used by the legendary Bayern goalkeeper Oliver Kahn.
