German international Mesut Özil wants to continue at Real Madrid and has no issues with coach José Mourinho, according to comments he made in an interview with Sunday newspaper 'Bild am Sonntag'. "I want to play here for many years. If it was up to me I'd finish my career here", said the 24 year old.
Özil also denied rumours of a rift between the squad and the coach, and of a possible transfer to Manchester United. "In the dressing room, we tend to laugh about what's written about us. For me what's important is the level of respect within the club. And that's the case here", said the player.
The main aim for the midfielder this season, given the gap between his team and leaders Barcelona, is the Champions League. "We are Real Madrid, we can beat anyone", he said referring to possible German rivals for the trophy.
