Real Sociedad coach Philippe Montanier spoke of his pride after seeing his side beat Barcelona 3-2 in a thrilling game at Anoeta.
The Frenchman admitted his team had had "a bit of luck" on their side but declared that his team had worked tremendously hard to get the three points.
"I'm very proud of my squad. We knew we were going to suffer, we had some difficult moments in the game but we never gave in."
The coach believes the win will boost the team's morale and help them get better results as the season goes on.
"I hope this win will give us confidence to take a step forward as a team. I hope we see the attitude we showed tonight in the next few games."
Despite being the first team to beat the Catalans in the league since April, Montanier had no advice to other teams as to how to do the same.
"There is no recipe to beat Barcelona. We won because we our team were compact, hard working and had a slice of luck."
