Marcello Lippi: "I won't go to Real Madrid"

The current Guangzhou coach still has two years left on his current deal and has ruled out a move to the Spanish capital.

Marcello Lippi, the coach of Guangzhou Evergrande, the most powerful club in China, doesn't see himself coming to Real Madrid to replace José Mourinho: "There's nothing going on with Real Madrid. I'm going to replace Mourinho? That's not true. I've got a contract with Guangzhou for another two years and I'm happy here in every way", he said.

Spanish newspaper El País recently revealed that Zinedine Zidane recommended Lippi as a new coach for Real Madrid to Florentino Pérez in the midst of the crisis of results that is currently rocking the club. However 64 year old Lippi, who won the World Cup with Italy in 2006 and the Champions League in 1996, doesn't appear in any hurry to leave his golden retirement in China, where he arrived at the start of 2012.
