Málaga midfielder Isco has won the Golden Boy 2012, the prize for the best under-21 player in Europe, chosen by Italian sports newspaper 'Tuttosport'.
Isco received 137 votes, 12 more than AC Milan forward Stephan El-Shaarawy, and 21 more than Atlético Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Isco will receive the trophy on the pitch of La Rosaleda before Málaga's match with Real Madrid on Saturday night.
The 20-year-old, from Benalmádena, Málaga province, is a regular fixture in Spain's under-21 side and has been called up to the first team on two occasions. He was chosen as the "revelation of the season" in 2011-12 by the Spanish league.
