After undergoing the second operation on a tumour on his parotid gland at the Vall d'Hebron hospital on Thursday, Barcelona boss Tito Vilanova will spend Christmas at home with his family.
Yesterday, the coach of the Catalan outfit left the intensive care unit. According to the sports daily 'Mundo Deportivo', it is expected that he will spend the weekend under medical supervision and, unless there are any setbacks, will go home on 24th December to be with his family during the festive period.
At the beginning of January, Tito Vilanova will start six weeks of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and will attempt to make a gradual return to daily business at Barcelona. However, no dates have so far been set for his comeback.
