The games scheduled in the last 16 of the Champions League and the draw and Copa del Rey games could leave Real Madrid with a particularly sticky set of fixtures at the end of February and beginning of March. There is the possibility of Madrid facing Barcelona in the return leg of the semi-finals on 27 February and then facing their arch rivals again on 2 March in the league Clásico in the Bernabéu.
Madrid also have another problem. They are due to play the return leg of the last 16 Champions League match on 5 March, leaving them only three days to rest between both games. Barcelona, meanwhile, will play the week of 12 March.
